Venting hobs

We are working with a few customers at the moment who are looking at venting hobs as an alternative options for island cooking. They offer an all in one appliance allowing the hob to be situated on the island without the need for a cooker hood above, helping to create the open living spaces that we are so in love with at the moment. We have one customer where we are even looking at putting the hob in front of the window. These vented hobs give you greater flexibility to add the hob anywhere you need to, with recirculating and ducted models available, depending upon your requirements.

Bora introduced us to the world of venting hobs, since then many alternatives have appeared on the market. We are proud to be partners with Bora and will have the new Bora Pure on display in June. We are also partners with Neff and AEG who both have their own version of the vented hob.

Bora have four different variants of their venting hobs and you can find out more on their website bora.com. To find out which Bora would suit you they have a link on their page to help you decide based upon a couple of easy questions.

The Neff Flex Induction range allows you to place your pots and pans anywhere you want and heats them exactly where they stand. With a stylish, dishwasher safe cast-iron grate over the extractor, it conveniently doubles as a pan rest too – even when it’s on.

AEG have their ComboHob which has Hob2Hood, a useful feature that automatically controls your draft speed. Leave Hob2Hood to regulate the fan while you concentrate on the key moments involved in getting your dish just right. But if you’d rather adjust the fan speed yourself, there are manual controls on the hob too.
